Repair Technician

Previously an Orlando police officer, Cleve learned the business of instrument repair from the late James Blackford. He has worked at the Bandwagon, Dr. Winds, and Band Room before coming to the Music Shack. Whether your instrument just needs a good chemical wash or a complete tear-down with resoldering, repadding or recorking, Cleve can do it. He handles any musical instrument from a piccolo to a tuba.

Repair Technician

Kurt Sterling has been repairing musical instruments for over 30 years. After leaving the army in 1975, he started his career at Ponte Music, where he learned the basics of woodwind instrument repair. After his stint with Ponte Music he went to work for Giardinelli's Band Instrument Co., where he fine-tuned his woodwind repair skills and started developing his brass repair skills, which included the lacquering and electroplating of brass instruments, and learned the art of making custom mouthpieces for the local pros.
